Place shock absorber flat on bench, remove filler plug, and add fluid to completely fill shock absorber, move arm up and down several times and recheck for complete filling, then install filler plug and gasket.

The lower control arm bushing removal begins with removing the steel sleeve. The bars will also put an increased strain on the bushings, steering rack and other parts. The outer bolt (located at upper end of chassis spring) may be removed with a socket wrench and extension through the opening in lower control arm spring seat.

You'll find these slinky-shaped springs located above the front and rear wheels. On top you cam remove one arm from the shock absorber, then separate the trunnion from the other shock arm. Springs and shocks have to work together. Most vehicles will never have their springs replaced, and of the vehicles that do, customization , rather than failure, is the reasoning.
17: On the lower control arm, remove the rubber bumper and mounting plate.
